Duluth, Ga., May 28, 2019: Equinox is pleased to welcome Bucyrus Public Library to Evergreen with their successful migration to the Consortium of Ohio Libraries (COOL) with partnership from OhioNET.

The Bucyrus Public Library’s move will support Bucyrus’ 29,511 patrons in addition to migrating 65,020 bibliographic records. Services provided by Equinox included project management and Evergreen software configuration. Data extraction and bibliographic deduplication were completed as part of their migration encompassing item, patron, and transaction records. The library prepared for the migration with on site and remote training from Equinox.

"This migration, by far, has been the smoothest and easiest for Bucyrus Public Library,” said Brenda Crider, director of the Bucyrus Public Library. “Erica Rolfs, Felicia Beaudry, Jason Etheridge and everyone else on our Equinox team made our transition stress-free and not just for the staff but for our patrons as well. From beginning to end our migration to COOL had very few issues thanks to the wonderful preparation they gave us. We enjoyed working with them and would do so again in an instant."

COOL was founded to provide individual member libraries with efficient, innovative, and cost effective solutions. Having implemented a union catalog with Evergreen, the consortium partners with OhioNET who provides system and administrative support. OhioNET is a membership organization founded in 1977 to provide training, administrative and technological support to its members.

“The staff of the Bucyrus Public Library were eager to learn and put into practice the new skills we covered during training,” said Felicia Beaudry, Product and Implementation Trainer at Equinox. “If the way I was welcomed into the library is any indication of their typical interaction with users, the local community is lucky to have them. They are going to be make a great addition to the Consortium of Ohio Libraries.”
