Aspen Discovery announced this week that the 20.18.00 release is available. This release includes 1 new functionality and 13 other updates to the Aspen Discovery system.

Mark Noble, Aspen Discovery Developer, recently commented on the release, "We're excited to wrap up our 2020 release schedule by bringing our libraries improved statistics and reporting so they can see how Aspen helps to drive usage of their collections in the coming year."

We listened to library feedback from our Aspen partners on how important reporting was, especially in this current climate, and we made sure this was a priority development to push through by the end of the year. We hope libraries can use these new tools to generate improved reports in 2021. A great feature of the new functionality is that each library in a consortium can see their own individual stats as well. We love being able to take direct feedback and turn it into user-friendly features for our libraries.

Town Librarian, Melissa Hutson, recently commented on the migration, "As a really small library where staff wear many hats including doing most of our IT support, I never felt like I was handling the migration alone thanks to ByWater support. Koha will streamline staff tasks and it also offers many features our patrons have been requesting for a while, such as being able to login to their accounts to place holds and renew items, that weren’t easily managed in our old system. In the last week, patron feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, we are so pleased that our community knows we are still trying serve them as best we can in these strange times.”
