North Bethesda, MD – October 18, 2012 – LibLime, a division of PTFS, and WALDO (Westchester Academic Library Director’s Organization) are proud to welcome the University of Advancing Technology (UAT) to the LibLime Academic Koha development group. The UAT has selected LibLime Academic Koha to replace its legacy ILS because of the advanced functionality of the features designed and deployed by the WALDO Development Group, as well as, the cost savings in annual support, maintenance, and hosting. LibLime will provide its professional implementation services to the UAT, including project management, data migration, system configuration, and functional & administrative training.

Migrating to LibLime Academic Koha will minimize internal IT resources at the University of Advancing Technology as LibLime Academic Koha is a completely web-based solution, and LibLime will provide hosting and maintenance using its distributed computing cloud platform.

The UAT will join the WALDO Development group, an active partnership of academic and research libraries working to enhance LibLime Academic Koha. The ideas from the UAT will expand LibLime Academic Koha functionality in areas related to technology in an academic setting.

About the University of Advancing Technology
The University of Advancing Technology is a private, for-profit institution of higher learning located in Tempe, Arizona. The UAT merges the values of the traditional academy with the modern technology campus, a fusion that enhances the UAT’s ability to fulfill the mission of educating students in the fields of advancing technology who innovate for the future. At the heart of UAT’s curricula is a technology-infused campus. This fusion of the traditional university with technology-focused curricula creates a distinct, non-exclusionary university in which students learn to value their own uniqueness and the power of technology in education.
