ITG Announces a Record-Setting Second Quarter

ITG maintained growth, partnered with Dialoc ID and offered a variety of educational workshops at the 2009 ALA Annual Conference

Norcross, Ga. – August 4, 2009. The Integrated Technology Group (ITG), a division of Vernon Library Supplies, Inc., continued its momentum from the first quarter of the year to achieve best ever second quarter company revenues. ITG maintained its leadership position as the company that libraries turn to after they have installed radio frequency identification (RFID) systems from other vendors.
“Our experience in reading multiple RFID tags and multiple RFID tag formats is unparalleled in the North American library market,” said Scott Hackstadt, ITG’s chief technology officer. “And I can say with great confidence that no company is better positioned to handle RFID interoperability issues both today and in the future than ITG.”
Recent migrations to ITG’s Apex RFID system include the Henrico County Public Library (Richmond, VA), Long Beach Public Library (CA) and Hamilton Public Library (Ontario, Canada). During the second quarter, several libraries nationwide have also installed ITG’s Vista FullSort™ AMH system, the Vista ShortShort™ AMH system, the Apex RFID PowerReader inventory system, and the Apex DiscXpress II disk dispensing system to operate in their non-ITG RFID infrastructures.

    Partnership with Dialoc

ITG announced their partnership with Dialoc at the ALA 2009 Annual Conference. Netherlands-based Dialoc ID selected ITG as its exclusive distributor of electromagnetic security systems to the library industry to the United States and Canada. Through the partnership with Dialoc, ITG is now able to deliver fully integrated electromagnetic solutions to libraries.

    ALA Annual Conference

As part of ITG’s ongoing efforts to educate the library public about emerging industry technology, the company offered free daily workshops during the conference. Among those products on display in ITG’s booth was the Apex DiscXpress II™ (DX2), a jukebox-style dispenser designed to provide self-service checkout of AV materials without compromising security.
Featured for the first time at ALA was ITG’s Automated Library Patron Services (ALPS). Beta installations of this full-featured public computer management and print system now operate successfully in libraries across the country and ITG is geared up for a major roll-out.
