Duluth, Ga., June 19, 2018: Equinox is pleased to announce the successful transition of Branch District Library to their Evergreen Sequoia hosted environment.

The migration encompassed 192,000 bibliographic records and 20,000 patrons to their instance of Evergreen Sequoia. The project also included hosting, support, and auxiliary services provided by Equinox in addition to project management and software configuration. Data extraction and transfer were also completed by Equinox.

“Coming from almost ten years as an Evergreen library as part of a consortium, we already knew how capable and powerful the Evergreen ILS is,” said Assistant Director and Director of Technology at Branch District Library, John Rucker. “What took our experience to the next level was the speed, professionalism, and accuracy of the Equinox team during our migration to a solo Evergreen instance. We were very happy with how smooth our migration went, and we’re looking forward to another decade with Evergreen and Equinox.”

Branch District Library was founded in 1991 and serves Michigan’s nearly 40,000 Branch County and Allen Township residents through its six branch libraries.

"Thanks to the Branch District Library’s preparation and engagement in the process we were able to make this a smooth upgrade and transition onto their new Evergreen Sequoia hosted environment,” said Rogan Hamby, Data and Project Analyst for Equinox. “I always enjoy knowing that work we do in the ILS services translates into improvements for staff and patrons so it has been a pleasure working with Branch District Library who have been diligent in pursuing all the details that make such a difference in the experience. It has been a pleasure making those things happen for them."
