Duluth, Ga., June 20, 2018: Equinox is pleased to announce the successful migration of Emmaus Public Library to Evergreen within the Pennsylvania Integrated Library System, (PaILS) SPARK Consortium.

The migration added 80,109 bibliographic records and 13,585 patrons to PaILS SPARK. Equinox provided project management and configuration services in addition to data extraction and bibliographic deduplication including patron and circulation records. Remote and onsite training were also provided by Equinox.

“Libraries are not just about books, they are inspiring places for our patrons to learn and grow,” said Amy Resh, library director at Emmaus Public Library. “We are absolutely thrilled with the level of training and care shown for our patrons during migration and the go-live process; giving us a more user-friendly approach to borrowing materials and the opportunity to show how much more there is to our modern library.”

PaILS was founded in June 2011 as a non-profit organization to provide a open source integrated library system. It oversees SPARK, a consortium of Evergreen libraries across Pennsylvania. Equinox and PaILS have been collaborating on the SPARK consortium since 2013. Moving to SPARK, Emmaus Public Library is able to share the consortium’s over 80,000 items.

“It was a pleasure to work with the Emmaus Public Library as they migrate to Evergreen,” said Angela Kilsdonk, Product Training and Consultation Manager at Equinox. “They were a great group to work with and our training had the added excitement of the construction of their new Children's Wing Expansion slated to open late 2018! I have enjoyed watching the SPARK consortium grow over the years and Emmaus is going to be a wonderful addition to the consortium and the Evergreen community.”
