DULUTH, Ga., April 24, 2018 -- Equinox is pleased to announce the successful migration of the Whitehall Township Public Library to Evergreen within the Pennsylvania Integrated Library System (PaILS) SPARK Consortium.
The project included the migration of 76,294 bibliographic records and 7,481 patrons. Equinox provided project management, software configuration, and bibliographic deduplication services in addition to the conversion of bibliographic records, items, patrons and transactions. The project also included onsite and remote training provided by Equinox.

"I have worked in libraries for 33 years and have done other migrations, but I can honestly say this was the best!” said Patty Vahey, Director of Whitehall Township Public Library. “Working with Equinox and PaILS/SPARK made this so much more manageable. Weekly phone calls, emails to ask questions, and onsite training made this a great experience. It is not easy changing ILS. It is stressful for a director and tech staff but these folks made it possible and we are excited about Evergreen - SPARK and will be joining ten other libraries in Lehigh - Carbon counties here in Pennsylvania. This move will help our libraries be user - friendly and community resources for our patrons."

PaILS was founded in June 2011 as a non-profit organization to provide an open source integrated library system. It oversees SPARK, a consortia of Evergreen libraries across Pennsylvania. Equinox and PaILS have been collaborating on the SPARK consortia since 2013.

"It was a real pleasure to work with the Whitehall Township Public Library. The staff is delightful and dedicated to serving their community. Whitehall will be an asset to the PaILS/SPARK consortium and to the Evergreen community." Felicia Beaudry, Product and Implementation Trainer for Equinox.
