DULUTH, Ga., Aug. 24, 2017 -- Equinox is pleased to announce that they have successfully migrated the Tunkhannock Public Library to Evergreen within the PaILS SPARK Consortium.
The addition of Tunkhannock brings over 30,000 bibliographic records to the SPARK Consortium. For the project, Equinox seamlessly migrated the library’s bibliographic and patron data, managing the mapping and policy creation process. Equinox also provided project management, administrative training, and end user training. As part of the SPARK consortium, Tunkhannock is hosted and supported by Equinox on their industry leading Sequoia platform.
“Joining the Evergreen team was the right move for our library. We are positioning ourselves for increased resource sharing among our neighboring county libraries, and have realized substantial savings from switching our ILS. Our members should benefit from the change. The support staff has been quick to help and are responsive to our particular needs, which is much appreciated.”- Kristin Smith-Gary, Director
“The Tunkhannock migration was unique with regards to the level of data openness we experienced during the process. This openness allowed for the migration team to create tools to work with a new open library data interchange format. From pre-planning to go-live, the Tunkhannock staff remained quite inquisitive and engaged. The Migration Team enjoyed the opportunity to help Tunkhannock migrate to SPARK.”-Erica Rohlfs, Equinox Project Manager
