PROVO, Utah, July 7, 2017 –– Backstage Library Works (www.bslw.com) is pleased to announce the promotion of Casey Cheney to Vice President of Automation Services. Casey has worked with Backstage for 14 years and has fulfilled many roles, including assistant project manager and project manager in retrospective conversion, reclassification, and cataloging. In April 2016, she transitioned to project manager for authority control processing.

Casey will be responsible for managing authority control and machine services projects, working with internal programmers, controlling costs, innovating on metadata-related prospects, consulting with the Sales and Marketing department, and coordinating with Metadata and On-Site Services on shared projects.

Casey is a PMP-certified leader whose emphasis on customer service has consistently led to her being one of the highest rated project managers in client satisfaction ratings.

Casey states:

“Our Automation Services department is a vital part of the work we do here at Backstage. With the ever-changing role of librarians and the environment in which they work, it is absolutely necessary that we provide a way to make data maintenance and enhancement as streamlined as possible.

“Automation Services will continue to expand and improve upon its existing services while keeping an eye forward on what is to come.

“I will work to develop partnerships and other opportunities that will broaden our net to serve even more institutions in ways that they need. I am excited to continue to bring world-class service to the library community and I look forward to working closely with clients.”
