The Barzani National Memorial Library Goes Live on ByWater Solutions Koha Support

ByWater Solutions, an open source community contributor and America's forefront provider of Koha support, announced today that the Barzani National Library, of Kurdistan, Iraq is now live on Koha with ByWater Solutions! ByWater completed the implementation and customization of their Koha installation and is providing ongoing support and hosting services to them. The Barzani National Memorial celebrates Mustafa Barzani, who was a 20th-century national hero and leader of Kurdistan National Liberation, and founding father of the Peshmerga (Kurdish Armed Forces). Most 20th-century Kurdish history has been poorly documented, and the known available resources are scattered across the globe. This institution creates an opportunity for Kurdish/Kurdistani international scholars and interested individuals to have a better understanding of Kurdistan, Mustafa Barzani, and the modern history of some 40 million Kurdish people. Kurdish people are the largest single group in the world without an established homeland.
