The Katharine Brush Library at Loomis Chaffee School Goes Live on ByWater Solutions Koha Support

ByWater Solutions, an open source community contributor and America's forefront provider of Koha support, announced today that The Katharine Brush Library at Loomis Chaffee School, of Windsor, CT is now live on ByWater Solutions Koha Support. ByWater Solutions had completed the migration of the Libraries' more than 30,000 titles last year and is providing ongoing hosting and support services to the library. The Library's customized online catalog can be viewed at: http://pelicat.loomis.bywatersolutions.com/

Eric Styles, Director of the Katherine Brush Library, commented on their decision to move to Koha with ByWater:

"The Loomis Chaffee School's Katharine Brush Library had the same ILS since it went automated in the mid-1990s. We were looking for an ILS and vendor that would provide a dynamic product, which continues to customize with improvements, and excellent customer service. The open source product Koha offered our first need. Koha provides a staff client and OPAC that is easy to navigate and provides the ability to make customizable and global changes, which is not available in many "out of the box" ILS vendors. Also, as an open source product Koha continues to improve with community needs and crowd sourcing. The open source environment makes you feel a part of a community, which again we would not get with an "out of the box" ILS. ByWater achieved our second need with excellent customer service, including a seamless, hands-on migration and OPAC customization. It is refreshing to deal with a dedicated staff, which believes in the success of their product. We also feel a part of the ByWater family and the continued excellent support we have from them."
