Daniel Morgan Academy Library Goes Live on ByWater Solutions' Koha Support

ByWater Solutions, an open source community contributor and America's forefront provider of Koha support, announced today that the Library at Daniel Morgan Academy of Washington, DC. is now live on their Koha open source integrated library system.

ByWater Solutions completed the migration of the Library's more than 12,000 titles earlier this year and is providing ongoing hosting and support services to the library. The Daniel Morgan Academy Library's customized online catalog can be viewed at: http://danielmorganlibrary.bywatersolutions.com/

Diane White, Library Director, commented on their decision to move to Koha with ByWater:

"The ByWater Koha system, backed by the wonderful support and training teams, has made my arrival as the Daniel Morgan Academy’s Library Director quite smooth. Although I had heard Nicole speak at many conferences and events, and understood the concept of an open source ILS, I was totally unfamiliar with Koha as an operational platform. Your system has proven to be very intuitive and unbreakable – I can try things, investigate modules and read documentation in numerous fora – and, most of the time, I am able to figure things out. About the only thing I could recommend would be to produce a Koha for Dummies book; for someone with no computer science or systems experience some of the documentation is a little daunting. But, whenever that happens I can always rely on your patient and friendly support staff. They have been especially helpful in assisting me through the post-migration work, and I look forward to continuing to draw on their expertise."
