Librarians will find THE HAUNTING AND PARADISE TAXI (E-book Smashwords Edition ISBN 9780989053600) is priced retail at 99 cents and is much less wholesale at Baker & Taylor ("Axis360"). Thanks to WHOLESALE prices available at Smashwords "Library Direct" now individual Libraries can purchase in E-book THE HAUNTING AND PARADISE TAXI at so much less than 99 cents. The author of the E-book Smashwords Edition (ISBN 9780989053600) THE HAUNTING AND PARADISE TAXI, Cynthia Lynn, is a member of Authors Guild, and she has deliberately priced her novel retail at 99 cents to offer a helping hand to hard pressed Libraries with budgetary concerns who can buy these E-books at less than 99 cents through the above distributors.

LIBRARIANS should know that Cynthia Lynn's travel guides are in Libraries worldwide (WorldCat.Org)—and her contemporary novel resonates in this 21st century of pink slips that uprooted so many from familiar surroundings. The heroine, Clarissa Max, is pink-slipped from a mega city newspaper reporting career on her way to Miami to recoup a reporting career and drives into a ditch, then serendipitously lands in a small town in Central Florida to encounter a haunting that brings on another kind destiny.

Said "Kirkus Indie Review" about THE HAUNTING AND PARADISE TAXI, "it is the mysterious Max who haunts Clarissa's thoughts," and the reviewer recounts what many readers have found is an absorbing Cracker country tale that includes a love story and a haunting with a mystic connection—the ghostly Max refuses to enter the great beyond, and Clarissa finds out that theirs is a joint destiny for another kind of beginning.

Now E-book Smashwords Edition ISBN 9780989053600, priced retail at 99 cents, will be available to all Libraries at a very reasonable wholesale cost (less than 99 cents), and this is a novel worth reading, according to "Kirkus Indie Review" it offers a measure of hope that someone will come to help when you need them.

Author Cynthia Lynn is following the heroine of THE HAUNTING AND PARADISE TAXI (Smashwords E-book Edition ISBN 9780989053600) along with the ghostly Max toward a mystic destiny. It's a joint adventure in Paris, France that takes a Paradise Taxi to get there which awaits Clarissa in the sequel. This Authors Guild member, Cynthia Lynn, is now writing Volumes II and III of her trilogy. In Volume II of this trilogy, PARIS WARP Jousting Devils and Dragons, the ghostly Max takes part in a seance arranged by Victor Hugo (the late great French author was a mystic), he is also in the netherworld of souls that remain ghostly in a Paris that abounds with mysterious and unseen ghostly spirits who refuse to be dead.

    Leiden (NL) / Boston (MA) – 1 July 2013

Brill acquires the prestigious annual, Netherlands Yearbook for History of Art and the accompanying book series, Studies in Netherlandish Art and Cultural History, effective immediately.

In a deal with WBooks (Zwolle, NL) and the renowned Foundation for Dutch Art Historical Publications, Brill, the international scholarly publisher, acquires the prestigious annual Netherlands Yearbook for History of Art and the accompanying book series Studies in Netherlandish Art and Cultural History.

Founded in 1947, the Netherlands Yearbook for History of Art (NKJ) is a peer-reviewed annual with a global reputation for publishing outstanding articles that reflect the variety and diversity of approaches to the study of Netherlandish art and culture. The NKJ fosters traditional art historical scholarship and opens up the field to innovative cross disciplinary developments. A leading annual in the field, it is ranked as an International 1 (INT1) journal in European Reference Index for the Humanities (ERIH) and is listed in the Arts & Humanities Citation Index (Thomson Reuters).

In addition to the current print edition, a digital version of NKJ will be available for subscription as of January 2014. For this online edition all previous 61 volumes (dating back to 1947) will be digitized and made available to subscribers. New volumes within the accompanying book series will also be published in print and in digital format.

The acquisition of NKJ fits well with Brill’s growing list in Art History, and is particularly complementary to Brill’s Oud Holland, Quarterly for Dutch Art History. The Netherlands Yearbook for History of Art and the accompanying book series strengthen Brill’s position as a scholarly publisher in the area of Art History. In addition, Brill offers these titles new cross-marketing opportunities and the benefit of global sales and distribution channels in both print and online.

Effective immediately, Brill assumes publishing responsibilities for the acquired titles. As of 1 July 2013, stock will be available via Brill’s customary distribution channels. These titles were previously published by WBooks.
