ByWater Solutions Welcomes Larry Baerveldt as Systems Engineer

ByWater Solutions, an open source community supporter and official Koha support company is proud to welcome Larry Baerveldt as their new Systems Engineer. Larry will be in charge of optimizing ByWater's hosting platforms and will specialize in maximizing system performance for both their hosted and non-hosted customer installations. Larry will also be taking part in the day to day support of ByWater's customer installations.

Larry received his BA and MLS from Indiana University, and has been providing special, public, and academic libraries IT services for over 25 years. Larry most recently served as the Systems Administrator for an academic consortia of 22 libraries. He is a specialist in server administration, open source software, and applications support.

Larry commented on his recent decision to join the ByWater Solutions team:

Bethesda, MD - March 28, 2011 - The American Craft Council in Minneapolis, Minnesota has contracted with LibLime to migrate to Koha, the premiere open source ILS for libraries.

Migrating from their legacy InMagic system, the Council will join LibLime’s growing family of special libraries. The Council has selected LibLime to perform all of their implementation services including professional project management, data migration, system configuration, staff training, and will help the Library brand and customize their web site.

LibLime will also provide the Council with conversion services and has been contracted to convert their non-MARC data into MARC format. Further, LibLime will provide annual maintenance, support and hosting in our distributed computing cloud platform.
