Individual and institutional digital subscriptions to the complete and fully-searchable archive of The Jewish Quarterly are now available following the publication’s relaunch in 2021. Accessible across web, iOS and Android devices, the digital edition is supported by the Exact Editions platform’s streamlined archiving technology, which provides a seamless and interactive browsing experience.

Admired for its fine writing, rigorous thinking, wit and wisdom, The Jewish Quarterly is published by Schwartz Media and Books out of Australia. Each quarterly issue features a major political or cultural theme, investigated in long-form essays by prominent voices from around the world. The publication’s mission is not to advocate but to investigate complex and pressing matters of politics, religion, history and culture, and to do so in depth.

Individual subscribers can subscribe both through the Exact Editions shop and also directly through The Jewish Quarterly’s website using Exact Editions’ innovative white-labelling technology, which allows the online reader to sit behind the publisher’s login paywall.

A whole host of intuitive navigational features on the Exact Editions platform enable institutional subscribers to utilise the archive as a research tool; an advanced Boolean search function facilitates the use of operators such as ‘and’, ‘or’ and ‘not’ in search terms, whilst linked contents pages and URLs enhance the interactivity of the issues. Institutional access is authenticated by IP range for uninterrupted access on and off campus.

Sales & Marketing Manager at The Jewish Quarterly Caraline Douglas commented: “We are proud to have recently relaunched The Jewish Quarterly. Since its inception in 1953, JQ has covered significant events and topics and the digital archive is an invaluable resource for students of literature, politics, religion and history.”

Managing Director of Exact Editions, Daryl Rayner, said: “We are thrilled to be working with The Jewish Quarterly to expand their reach into institutions worldwide. The publication’s wide-ranging subject matter and the platform’s search function in particular make the resource especially appealing to libraries.”
