Duluth, Ga., July 11, 2018: Equinox is pleased to announce the successful migration of Coplay Public Library to Evergreen within the Pennsylvania Integrated Library System, (PaILS) SPARK Consortium.

The migration added 1,472 patrons and 17,927 bibliographic records to PaILS/SPARK. Equinox provided project management and configuration in addition to data extraction including bibliographic, patron and transaction records. The migration also included deduplication as well as onsite and remote training.

"For a small library, joining SPARK is a golden opportunity to expand our collection for our patrons,” said Sharon Dougherty, director at Coplay Public Library. “Being able to provide materials within a few days is going to allow us to serve our community better. Our Equinox support has been incredibly helpful both before and during our migration and we are looking forward to a long and happy partnership."

PaILS was founded in June 2011 as a non-profit organization to provide a open source integrated library system. It oversees SPARK, a consortium of Evergreen libraries across Pennsylvania. Equinox and PaILS have been collaborating on the SPARK consortium since 2013. Moving to SPARK, Coplay Public Library is able to share the consortium’s over 80,000 items.

"The staff at Coplay Public Library were a terrific group to work with during onsite training,” said Angela Kilsdonk, product and training consultation manager for Equinox. “Their library is a great addition to the SPARK consortium and another wonderful example of how public libraries of all sizes can join together on a shared, open source ILS to provide excellent services to their communities."
