    Leiden / Boston / Paderborn / Singapore / Beijing – 3 April 2018

Expanding their publishing program in the Social Sciences, Brill Publishers has launched a new journal, Youth and Globalization.

Drawing on both theoretical and empirical research, and in addition to and as a complement of the Brill book series Youth in a Globalizing World, the journal explores how young people relate to globality and its outcomes. Its aim is to provide an innovative understanding of youth studies in a global context based on multiscalar (both local and global), multilevel (economic, political, social), transnational, and multidisciplinary approaches.

The first issue will become available in 2019, both online and in print. The board invites peer-reviewed articles (6,000-10,000 words), book reviews (up to 1,200 words), and interviews/conversations (not to exceed 2,500 words).

DULUTH, Ga., April 2, 2018 -- Equinox is pleased to announce the successful migration of the Potter-Tioga Library System to Evergreen within the Pennsylvania Integrated Library System (PaILS) SPARK Consortium.

This move includes more than 18,223 patron records and over 170,240 bibliographic records. Services provided by Equinox as part of the migration included data extraction, migration of bibliographic records, items, patrons, and transactions. Equinox also administered software configuration and project management as well as remote and onsite training.

“We at PaILS are extremely happy that the entire Potter-Tioga Library System will be joining SPARK,” said Executive Director of PaILS/SPARK, Scott Thomas. “These 10 libraries have been in a system for some time, but have never been able to share resources and cataloging. Now they can do all of that and also benefit from everything that the SPARK and Evergreen communities have to offer.”

The Potter-Tioga Library System is the only two county system in the state of Pennsylvania and serves a population of 60,343 residents. PaILS was founded in June 2011 as a non-profit organization to provide an open source integrated library system. It oversees SPARK, a consortia of Evergreen libraries across Pennsylvania. Equinox and PaILS have been collaborating on the SPARK consortia since 2013.

“It is very exciting to work with all of the Potter-Tioga librarians as they migrated to SPARK. Each of the libraries have unique approaches in how to best serve their local communities,” said Erica Rohlfs, Project Manager for Implementation at Equinox. “It was a welcoming challenge to help them strike a balance between maintaining this level of personal service and bring them into the larger consortium.”
