DULUTH, Ga., March 27, 2018 -- Equinox is pleased to announce that Perry Memorial Library in Vance County, North Carolina successfully migrated to Evergreen within NC Cardinal Consortium (NC Cardinal).

The migration of Perry Memorial Library added 81,667 bibliographic records and 27,164 patrons to NC Cardinal. The process included the conversion of bibliographic, item, patron and all current transaction records as well as the de-duplication of bibliographic records against the larger, NC Cardinal database. In addition, Equinox provided project management, software configuration, and Evergreen training onsite and remotely.

"It is always a pleasure helping new libraries join the larger Evergreen community and showing them the advantages of leveraging open source and open source communities,” said Rogan Hamby, Data and Project Analyst for Equinox. “Perry staff were a pleasure to work with and I am sure NC Cardinal libraries will be enriched from their joining as much as Perry will mutually benefit."

NC Cardinal is part of a growing consortia of libraries in North Carolina aiming to increase accessibility and resource sharing through the implementation of a single library catalog. Perry Memorial Library’s migration gives their patrons access to the consortium's 6.4 million records.

“Perry Memorial Library was a great group to work with,” said Felicia Beaudry, Product and Implementation Trainer for Equinox. “Our onsite training was interrupted by a snow storm, but even that did not dampen the enthusiasm of the staff. They always had great questions. They are going to be a great addition to NC Cardinal and the Evergreen community.”
