IPSWICH, Mass. — November 1, 2017 — Libraries can now enhance their special collections with digital backfiles for two leading magazines, U.S News and World Report and Esquire, through EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO). The new magazine archives, U.S. News & World Report Magazine Archive and Esquire Magazine Archive include cover to cover processing, which means each issue is presented in its entirety as originally published.

The two archives provide researchers with extensive coverage of 20th century topics including: business/economics, cultural studies, education, fashion/lifestyle, gender studies, history, marketing/advertising, politics, pop culture and sociology.

U.S. News & World Report has featured a broad variety of topics in current events, politics and business, and is well known for its ranked lists of businesses and institutions. The magazine began as the United States Daily and later became known as United States News, and then World Report. The comprehensive archive provides unique coverage of the magazine from the beginning of its three predecessor titles, 1926-1984, and offers more than 4,900 issues for research of topics and trends.

Esquire has been an award-winning American men’s magazine in the areas of politics, men’s fashion, entertainment, fiction and pop culture. The archive delivers more than 900 issues, from 1933-2014, providing a broad view of 20th century American cultural and current events.

Each digital archive includes full indexing of all articles and advertisements, making it easy to search using the EBSCOhost® and EBSCO Discovery Service™ interfaces.
U.S. News & World Report Magazine Archive and Esquire Magazine Archive are the latest additions to EBSCO’s magazine archives.
