IPSWICH, Mass. — February 4, 2016 — EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has partnered with Penguin Random House to offer digital libraries the entire collection of Penguin Random House eBooks through EBSCO eBooks™. Libraries can access 21,000 fiction and nonfiction e-book titles from prominent authors including John Grisham, Mindy Kaling, Paula Hawkins, Toni Morrison and Danielle Steel.

Penguin Random House titles are included in several EBSCO eBooks™ collections such as EBSCO’s Popular Adult Fiction Collection, Mystery, Thriller & Suspense Fiction Collection, Popular Adult Nonfiction Collection and others. Flexible pricing models will help librarians acquire popular frontlist and backlist e-book titles according to their needs and allow libraries to own purchased Penguin Random House eBooks in perpetuity. EBSCO does not add markups or fees to this or any collection of titles, making it easy for libraries to grow their collections.

Penguin Random House eBooks add essential titles to EBSCO’s growing collection of more than 800,000 e-books to serve all types of libraries. EBSCO offers multiple options for purchase as well as a refined interface for downloading and reading e-books. John Brennan, EBSCO’s Senior Director of eBook Product Management, says this will provide libraries with easy access to high-demand e-books with pricing options to suit varying budgets. “The Penguin Random House catalog offers libraries e-book titles from widely read fiction and nonfiction authors who are popular with a variety of readers. Having these titles available from EBSCO eBooks means that libraries can cost-effectively build e-book collections on a foundation of quality trade fiction and nonfiction titles.”

Skip Dye, Vice President Library Marketing and Sales, Penguin Random House, says that increased exposure of the Penguin Random House catalog ensures that customers will be able to access the e-books they’re looking for, both in the library and online. “We are pleased that our partnership with EBSCO will ensure digital libraries greater access, both in the library and online, to the full range of our fiction and nonfiction titles.”
