The J. Drake Edens Library at Columbia College Goes Live on ByWater Solutions Koha Support

ByWater Solutions, an open source community contributor and America's forefront provider of Koha support, announced today that the J. Drake Edens Library at Columbia College of Columbia, SC. is now live on their Koha open source integrated library system.

ByWater Solutions has completed the migration of the Libraries' more than 150,000 titles earlier this year and is providing ongoing hosting and support services to the library. The Library's customized online catalog can be viewed at: http://cat.columbiasc.edu

Jane Tuttle, Library Director, commented on their decision to move to Koha with ByWater:

"Our transition to Koha has been a great experience due to the knowledge and skill of the ByWater Solutions staff. About the J. Drake Edens Library:
The mission of the Edens Library is to support the educational program of the College. The library has established five goals to serve this mission.

Goal I - To develop a collection of library materials in a variety of formats that support the curriculum.
Goal II - To provide access to the library collection as well as to off-site resources in a timely and efficient manner.
Goal III - To provide an information literacy program for the academic community.
Goal IV - To renovate the library and to acquire additional interior library space in order to enhance the learning environment.
Goal V - To maintain a highly qualified library staff capable of providing appropriate service to support the library mission.
