About the Philipsburg Jubilee Library
The Philipsburg Jubilee Library was founded on November 23, 1923, commemorating the year Queen Wilhelmina celebrated her silver jubilee. As the library grew in size during the 1960s and 1970s, plans were developed to re-locate the library to its present location, which is currently 20 times larger than its previous size. The new library opened its doors on April 2, 1984 and thereafter became the first library in the Netherland Antilles to be fully automated. In 1997, the Internet found its way into the library and just one year later, during its 75th jubilee, the library created its website.About LibLime - PTFS
