ByWater Solutions Welcomes Rocio Jordan as Migrations Specialist

ByWater Solutions, an open source community supporter and the U.S.’ forefront provider of Koha support, is happy to welcome Rocio Jordan as its new Migrations Specialist. Rocio will join our expert Koha migrations team in assisting new partners in the transition to the Koha open source ILS.

Rocio has a graduate degree in Information Science from the University of North Texas and an undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance from Oklahoma City University. Rocio’s love of libraries first began in elementary school when she sought comfort in the books recommended by the school’s librarian and grew as she held positions in archives and preservation. Having grown to love databases as a research assistant with the Fort Worth ISD, she decided to put these two together and pursue a career that would allow her to manage data for libraries and information organizations.

Rocio commented on his recent decision to join ByWater Solutions:

“I am thrilled to be part of a team that puts libraries first! ByWater Solutions has a strong commitment to its partners and I’m happy to be with them as they welcome libraries to the open course community.”

Joy Nelson, Director of Migrations, had this to share:

“With her affinity for customer service and project management, Rocio is a great fit with our migration team. Her background and experience with information systems and database design is a huge asset for us.”
