    North Bethesda, MD, September 11, 2013- The Central City Public Library, located in Central City, NE, is now live on LibLime Koha 4.16 for all collection and patron management services.

    The Central City Public Library staff worked with LibLime Project Managers to migrate bibliographic, item, and patron data from its legacy ILS system. With the addition of the Central City Public Library to the Pioneer Consortium, there are now over 1.5 million items and over 600,000 bibliographic records in the Pioneer LibLime Koha union catalog.

    ByWater Solutions Welcomes Melissa Lefebvre as Operations Manager

    ByWater Solutions, an open source community supporter and the U.S.’ forefront provider of Koha support, is happy to welcome Melissa Lefebvre as its new Operations Manager. Melissa will be working as a project and communications manager for ByWater and will facilitate communication and operations for the migration and development departments, as well as contribute to the everyday support of ByWater’s seven hundred-plus library customers.

    Melissa received her MLS from Southern Connecticut State University, and her BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology. She has worked on Evergreen, another open source ILS system, for four years as Project Manager at Bibliomation, Inc., a large public and school consortium in Connecticut. Melissa plans on using her skills to contribute code to the Koha community whenever possible. In her spare time she enjoys taking architectural photographs, reading, and spending time with her family.

    Melissa commented on her recent decision to join ByWater Solutions:

    “I am very excited to be joining the ByWater team. Over the past four years, I have been working specifically with open source systems and libraries.     The Code4Lib Journal (C4LJ) exists to foster community and share information among those interested in the intersection of libraries, technology, and the future.

    We are now accepting proposals for publication in our 23rd issue. Don't miss out on this opportunity to share your ideas and experiences. To be included in the 23rd issue, which is scheduled for publication in mid-January 2014, please submit articles, abstracts, or proposals at http://journal.code4lib.org/submit-proposal or to journal@code4lib.org by Friday, October 11, 2013. When submitting, please include the title or subject of the proposal in the subject line of the email message.

    C4LJ encourages creativity and flexibility, and the editors welcome submissions across a broad variety of topics that support the mission of the journal. Possible topics include, but are not limited to:
    * Practical applications of library technology (both actual and hypothetical)
    * Technology projects (failed, successful, or proposed), including how they were done and challenges faced
    * Case studies
    * Best practices
    * Reviews
