North Bethesda, MD. February 28, 2012. LibLime, a Division of PTFS and WALDO (Westchester Academic Library Directors Organization), announce that the Connecticut Historical Society has successfully migrated to LibLime Academic Koha.
The Connecticut Historical Society worked with LibLime’s project management staff on data migration, system configuration, and training.

Barbara Austen, Florence S. Marcy Crofut Archivist remarked, “We are totally enjoying the LibLime Academic Koha system. I love being able to make changes to records so easily and adding items to holdings is a breeze compared to our procedure before. The staff members seem to like the new system, too--I did a demonstration for them, showing them how they could create lists when they had a research project to do. It is also more customizable--we keep changing the ‘new books’ featured on the opening page, and the illustration in the upper left can be easily changed as well.”

Barbara is very impressed with the depth of functionality and new development frequently added to LibLime Academic Koha. She explained “My only regret is that I simply do not have the time to totally familiarize myself with the various parts of the system, and to play with XSLT in the sandbox. “

Barbara also noted that Maria Laude, LibLime Customer Liaison Librarian, is a “terrific trainer”.

Now that Connecticut Historical Society is live on LibLime Academic Koha, they will enjoy the benefits of LibLime’s support and hosting in a distributed computing cloud platform.
