Bethesda, MD – January 20, 2011 - LibLime is pleased to announce that the Mabee Library at Sterling College, has successfully migrated to LibLime Koha. Sterling College is located in Sterling, Arkansas and has been live on their Koha system since December, 2010.

Migrating from the Horizon ILS, Sterling took full advantage of LibLime’s first-class implementation services. Under the guidance of a dedicated Project Manager, LibLime librarians, data specialists, and technicians installed Koha, configured the system to Sterling’s policies and processes, migrated data, and provided staff training. Sterling has also procured three years of hosting and maintenance from LibLime, using their cloud computing platform.

“We are always happy to see new academic libraries join the LibLime family of customers because it means that academic functionality in Koha is radically progressing and becoming a truly viable solution for colleges and universities,” said Patrick Jones, Director of Library Solutions for LibLime.

Koha includes many customer-sponsored development features, including several highly-anticipated academic library requirements, such as term loans, proxy borrowing, and retention of deleted records. Software as a Service (SaaS) offering on the LibLime cloud computing platform will also feature regular releases throughout the year as additional customer-sponsored development is completed.
