    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
    Norcross, GA — July 8, 2009

Equinox Software, Inc., “The Evergreen Experts,” has responded to a powerful increase in the number of libraries using Evergreen library software by adding three specialists to its support team. Ben Ostrowsky and Steve Callender have come aboard as Support Specialists, while David Brown has been hired as System Administrator. Their expertise will continue to ensure expeditious ticket response, excellent customer care, and well-managed services even as Equinox and the Evergreen community continue to grow.
Ostrowsky comes to Equinox with over 11 years of library industry experience, most recently as a software consultant for Alpha-G Consulting, where he gained direct experience with Evergreen software. Callender brings nine years of software maintenance and development, most recently with the Reynolds and Reynolds Company, where he served as Lead Programmer and Application Developer. Brown brings over 15 years of IT experience, most recently as Library Systems Manager for the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Don McMorris, Equinox Software Operations Manager, commented, “It is very exciting to see the support team growing. Additional support staff will allow us to provide even faster support and more creative solutions to the complex and diverse problems that we see."

Grace Dunbar Joins Equinox Software as Project Manager
    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
    Norcross, GA — July 7, 2009

Equinox Software, Inc., “The Evergreen Experts,” welcomes Grace Dunbar as its newest Project Manager. She will play a key role in ensuring smooth and successful migrations for libraries moving to Evergreen, the highly scalable open source library software. Dunbar will also assist in the demonstration and training of new Evergreen applications for current and future users.
Dunbar has a Masters in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and most recently served as the Head Librarian for Savannah College of Art and Design. When not hard at work, she is an avid knitter who is also teaching herself to play the banjo.
Dunbar says, “I am excited to be joining the wonderful team here at Equinox. My career has quickly led me to the conclusion that embracing open source is important for the long-term survival of libraries. Empowering libraries to take an active role in the ownership of their ILS allows them to take control of their future, and I'm proud to be a part of that.”
Brad LaJeunesse, Equinox company president, added, “Dunbar’s arrival comes at a time of tremendous growth for open source in libraries and Evergreen in particular. We are excited to see Dunbar join us in this newly-created position!”
