ITG will be the exclusive US distributor of Dialoc’s electromagnetic security systems to the library industry.

Norcross, Ga. – Netherlands-based Dialoc ID has selected Integrated Technology Group (ITG), a division of Vernon Library Supplies, Inc., as its exclusive US distributor of electromagnetic (EM) security systems to the library industry. ITG may also provide Dialoc ID products to libraries in Canada.

“Dialoc ID’s EM security technology completes our product line. For many years, we have provided libraries with both RF and RFID security systems in addition to self-checkout systems that interface with those two technologies, as well as EM security. Now, we will be able to deliver a fully integrated EM solution to libraries,” said Shai Robkin, President and CEO of ITG.

“While we develop all of our software solutions and many of our hardware products in house, when it came to EM security, we wanted to go with a tried and proven performer,” added Robkin. “It was fortuitous that at the same time that we were looking for the best EM system to offer our customers, Dialoc ID was looking for a North American distribution channel.”

ITG will host Dialoc ID executives in its booth at the 2009 ALA Annual Conference, July 9-15 at McCormick Place West in Chicago. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience Dialoc’s electronic article surveillance (EAS) technology at booth #1021 throughout the show, including the new Diamond EM/RFID hybrid system. ITG will also introduce a program that allows libraries that install RFID-ready EM pedestals that allow for easy, cost effective RFID upgrades in the future.

Dialoc ID has been a world leader in the EAS field since 1977, delivering EAS technology to libraries for more than two decades. The company has thousands of security systems installed in more than 35 countries. Through its partnership with ITG, Dialoc ID will bring its EM technology to the North American library market, which is currently dominated by a single provider, 3M.

“We look forward to demonstrating to American libraries what libraries in the rest of the world have known for many years about the advancements we have brought to EM security technology,” said Willem Angel, Chairman of Dialoc ID Holdings BV.

“We are particularly delighted to have found a partner like ITG that has been so successful in providing materials flow management solutions to libraries in the US and Canada,” added Cor de Nood, CEO and Technical Director of Dialoc ID.”
