ELIGIBILITY
- Applicant must be presently working, or have worked within the past two years, in a special or museum library with subject focus in the arts or the humanities. No other disciplines are acceptable.Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of a non-G8 country.
- Applicant must indicate the amount and source of additional funding which, combined with the Travel Award, will permit them to cover their expenses to attend the Annual Conference.
- Applicant must prepare a brief presentation (10 minutes in length) on one’s home institution or special research project pertinent to arts and humanities, which will be delivered at a MAHD meeting at the SLA Conference.
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION December 31, 2008
- The application should include a current CV, including all contact information, education, and previous library experience.
- The applicant will write up to 500 words of narrative in English to address the following:
Description of home institution’s mission
How attendance may benefit the applicant at his/her home institution
How the experience may be shared with colleagues in home country
Previous attendance at professional conferences
