New Castle, DE (LISWire) October 11, 2008 – Linda Hayes announces the release of her debut children's book, “Grandma's First Computer” on November 1, 2008 just in time for the holidays. This is a beautifully illustrated book for children of all ages. It tells an endearing story about a Grandma who excitedly purchases her very first desktop computer only to find herself in a perplexing situation; she knows nothing about computers. Will her young grandson Timmy be able to help her?

Not only will children find the characters of this book entertaining, but they and their grandparents, may even learn a little something about computers.

    Notes from the Author:
I was inspired to write this book after my mom bought a computer and required the assistance of my son.
I'm sure this is a situation many grandparents and grandchildren have experienced and a book the whole family will enjoy as they read and reminisce.

    About the Author:
Linda received an Associate in Applied Science degree in Data Processing from Kingsborough Community College and has been in love with computer technology ever since. Writing is her second love. She has been writing poetry since her teens and is the author of three poetry books. Her poems have won first place in a couple of poetry contests. This is her first children's book. Linda currently resides in Delaware with her husband who is also a published poet.
